Terms of Sale

Deposits and Payments:

• A $500 deposit is required to secure your chosen puppy.

• If the puppy is not yet born, an initial $250 deposit will secure your place on the waiting list. A further $250 deposit will be required once the puppy is born.

• If collecting your puppy directly from Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas, the balance may be paid at the time of collection.

The purchase price includes:

• Microchipping

• Veterinary health check

• First vaccination

• Worming

• Puppy starter pack

Refund Policy:

• Change of Mind: Refunds are not provided if the buyer changes their mind, has a change of circumstances, or no longer wishes to proceed with their purchase. Deposits and payments made are non-refundable in these cases.

• Deposits: are not refundable under any circumstance.

• Medical Grounds: A full refund will only be considered if the puppy or dog passes away due to an unforeseen, life-threatening medical illness that could not have been reasonably anticipated.

• This must be certified in writing by two registered veterinarians (at the buyers expense)

• Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas reserves the right to seek verification from its own veterinarian before any refund is approved.

• Health Guarantee: If a life-threatening hereditary condition is confirmed by 2 licensed veterinarians within 8–12 weeks of purchase, the puppy may be returned to Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas. In such cases, the buyer will be offered a replacement puppy of similar colour, quality, and sex. If no suitable puppy is available at the time, the buyer will be placed on the waiting list for the next available litter. 

• Limitations: Refunds are not offered for conditions arising from environmental factors, accidents, neglect, or improper care once the puppy is in the new owner’s possession.

Holding Fees:

• Puppies are expected to leave Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas at around 8 weeks of age, as this is best for bonding with their new families.

• If you require your puppy to stay longer, a boarding fee of $100 per week will apply, payable in advance.

• The buyer will also be responsible for all veterinary costs after the agreed release date.

Veterinary Care and Health:

• Australian Canine Association Code of Ethics, will be provided to the buyer for ongoing care..he buyer will also be supplied with recommended feeding guidelines and general care instructions to support the puppy’s health and well-being. From the time the puppy is released into the buyer’s care, all future veterinary expenses become the sole responsibility of the buyer.

• All puppies leave Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas having received their initial veterinary health check and preliminary vaccinations. A vaccination schedule, in line with ANKC protocols and the South 

Veterinary Examination by Buyer:

• The buyer may arrange, at their own expense, a veterinary health check within 48 hours of receiving the puppy. 

• Any concerns such as diarrhea, loss of appetite, or similar issues arising after this period are not the responsibility of Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas, as they may result from environmental changes or alterations to diet.

Important Notice:

• All sales are final. Puppies cannot be returned for any reason other than those outlined under the Health Guarantee.

• Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas does not cover veterinary expenses incurred after the puppy has been released into the buyer’s care.

• Refunds are not issued under any circumstances; replacement puppies are offered only in accordance with the Health Guarantee policy.

Registration and Pedigree Papers:

• After the puppy has gone to its new home, Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas will submit the litter registration to the appropriate Canine Association. Pedigree papers will be forwarded to the buyer once processing is complete. Delays may occur if the required ownership details are not provided promptly. If a registered name is not supplied by the buyer at the time of release, Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas reserves the right to select one on the buyer’s behalf.

Registration Status:

• All puppies are sold strictly as pets or companions and are placed on limited registration. Breeding rights are not included, and Adelaide Chatter Chihuahuas’ bloodlines are not available for breeding purposes.

Acknowledgement of Agreement:

By placing a deposit, the buyer confirms that they:

• Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

• Agree to all terms and policies stated herein.

• Acknowledge that deposits are non-refundable and that the purchase is considered a final sale under these conditions.
